  • What is OWL?

    OWL (Open World Learning) is a free eLearning platform for small to mid-sized charities & nonprofits.


    An OWL account unlocks access to our free online training library for your team. OWL charities may also apply for a free branded sub-platform to upload their own materials.

  • Is OWL really free?

    Yes and there’s no catch! 


    OWL is fully funded by Intercap Impact (a division of Intercap Inc.) and powered by Docebo, an award-winning LMS. Together, we are committed to empowering charities with education and tech—at no cost—as a social purpose initiative. 

  • Am I eligible for OWL?

    Canadian and US registered charities & nonprofits are eligible to join OWL. 


    There is a limit of 300 active users/month per organization. 


  • How do I join OWL?

    Only 1 person at your organization (the 'Charity Lead') can create an OWL Account. 


    Once the account is verified, the Charity Lead uploads a CSV to share access with staff, volunteers, and/or board members.


  • What do I get once I join?

    Joining OWL unlocks free access a free ‘Netflix-style’ eLearning library of courses and programs in:


    • HR Compliance
    • Board Governance 
    • Diversity Equality Inclusion 
    • Mental Health & Well Being 
    • Leadership Skills
    • and more

    All eLearning ends with a shareable Certificate of Completion.


    There are also free downloadable learning resources shared on OWL. 

  • How does eLearning work?

    Just sign in, click the course title, and enroll to learn at your own pace! 


    Courses can also be assigned by the Charity Lead to specific users via email, tracked by a shareable Certificate of Completion.


  • What is a Charity Account upgrade?

    OWL Charities with their own learning materials to upload can apply for a branded Charity Account on OWL.

  • Is OWL accessible on mobile?

    Yes! Just download the OWL – Open World Learning mobile app in the App Store or on Google Play.


  • Where are the Privacy Policy & Terms of Use?

    You can find our Privacy Policy here and Terms of Use here.


    You will be prompted to accept both before accessing the platform. 

  • Are there Partnership Opportunities?

    We welcome all companies to use their own resources for social good on OWL! 


    You can donate online content, co-create online courses with us, offer free eLearning to your customers, or simply spread the word about OWL to your network.
